if you love Galliano's designs, this is a book for you; the pic are great, really great photographer also;no more words to depict Galliano's work, see the pictures.
John Galiano is a genious. His creations have become consubstantial to Dior and it will be rather difficult for this Maison de Haute Coûture to find another couturier that could replace him. This book is a masterpiece that shows the art of Galiano through an impeccable photography and right texts.
I purchased this book by description , but also due to previous reviews. I collect designer source books of this type, with Doir being at the top of my list. I was highly dissapointed with this book for the following reasons:The writing is simplistic and lack luster, breif, partial pages with large empty spaces.The photos are not especially clear, particularly well chosen or resourceful.Last, but certainly not least, the whole book seems to to a blown up version of a small book, extra large lettering, blown up unclear photos, empty spaces, very thick pages.Sad .I would like to add that MANY of Gallianos spectacular collections and designs are NOT included in this book, and too mych emphasis is put on the photographers work instead of the designer himself.
